The success of our school rests largely on the dedication of our parent and community volunteers. We are a “mishpachah” where our members give freely of their time and talents to enhance our school. Our playground, garden, holiday celebrations, hot lunch program, and so much more rely on the work of parent and community “participants” to make them happen.
RJDS recognizes the importance of these contributions by offering all families reduced tuition in exchange for participation in our “Parent Participation Program” or PPP. Families involved in the program are required to provide 25 hours of service to the school, but so many do so much more by taking on leadership positions in our Parent’s Association (PAC) and on our Board of Directors.
You can find these parent and community participants at our school daily in the office, kitchen, playground, or classrooms. They also serve in the larger community sharing our school’s values and programs with the greater Richmond and Vancouver communities. Look for us at the Steveston Salmon Festival and at the JCC Festival Ha’Rikud!
Please contact Jessica Rotenbery, PAC President, at [email protected] for more information on how you can become more involved in the RJDS community.
