My name is Carine Rozen, and I’m a proud member of the 3rd graduating class at RJDS in 1999 – the year we moved into the new beautiful school!
Growing up in Richmond, I attended Steveston high school and then went on to graduate from York University in Toronto with an honours degree in Business Administration. After graduating, I stayed in Toronto and went on to kick-start a career in strategy consulting. I worked for Interbrand and had opportunities to build (and re-build) many well-known brands from Holt Renfrew to Enridge to Sony to Fairmont Hotels. While working in my late twenties, I also completed my Executive MBA.
In 2017, I made my life-long dream of making Aliya a reality and moved to Tel Aviv. Although the first year was challenging, I was fortunate to be hired as the Head of Strategy for a Spanish brand consultancy, with offices in Tel Aviv. Since the onset of Covid, I have proudly become a wife to my amazing husband Daniel as well as a mother to our darling daughter Zoe. I am now working as an independent brand and business consultant, which has been an absolute blessing as it allows me to do what I love while also being there for my family.
RJDS instilled many of the core values which have accompanied me through my life journey thus far: Celebrating the Jewish holidays, doing mitzvot, giving tzedaka, my Zionistic spirit, valuing and supporting the Jewish community, hard work and higher education – to name a few.
My favourite RJDS memory is hands down the annual Maccabiah festivities. I remember playing all sorts of fun games in the backyard of Jackie Segal’s house in Richmond, and finishing the day off with a delicious glass of orange juice from the big Gatorade cooler!
