Dear Parents,
I want to warmly welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year at Richmond Jewish Day School! As your principal, it is my sincere pleasure to work with our dedicated staff and community to help provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students. We are committed to ensuring that your children receive the best support to learn and grow.
My vision for RJDS is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.
Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play a part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. We warmly welcome you to our “mishpachah” and believe that through strong partnership between home and school fosters greater success for our children! Parents are invited to become involved in our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) as well as participating in our Parent Participation Program (PPP). Please check out our Parent Information section to learn more.
Our BC Curriculum is fully accredited by the BC Ministry of Education and provides students with the opportunity to develop and master skills and knowledge in a variety of different subjects including: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts Education, Career Education, Applied Design, Skills and Technologies (ADST), and Languages. We make education meaningful by highlighting the experiential aspect of everything we teach. We believe in giving students the opportunity to focus on areas that interest them and to incorporate the skills they acquire to develop their passions.
Our Judaic Studies program provides students with textual skills and knowledge of the Jewish faith, culture and its traditions. This enables our children to explore their shared heritage and emerge from our school as thoughtful, committed and fully engaged members of their Jewish and Canadian communities. Hebrew language is also a fundamental component of our program.
We are excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a safe and caring learning environment at RJDS. The school is dedicated to developing students who are confident in their culture, empowering them to achieve academic excellence through nurturing moral values of integrity, responsibility, respect and courage. I encourage you to drop by or call me to share ideas, concerns, or questions. I wish your family, and especially your student, great success this upcoming school year.
Sincerely,
Respectfully,
Sabrina Bhojani, Principal, RJDS
